In 1995, a pair of elegant black and white banded fish arrived at the New Jersey State Aquarium for display in the Aquarium’s Rainbow Reef live coral exhibit. These Banggai cardinalfish, Pterapogon kauderni, were recently rediscovered by scientists and are only known to occur in the waters around a group of scattered islands in Indonesia. (Read More)

Aurelia aurita  Moon jellies are one of 200 species of jellyfish - animals whose slippery, watery bodies are so clear that you can see through them.
